It's august! Holy cow where has the summer gone? Missing it so much already, I'm starting to get nauseous just thinking about the fall (although it is my favorite season!)

Tomorrow I am headed to Tennessee, pretty stoked about it. Today it was 99 degrees feeling like 106 there. Going to be an awesome time.

While in Europe I read I Love you, Ronnie. It was one of those books that I could not stand putting down. I had to limit myself to one chapter a day so it would last longer and was seriously sad when it was over! Ronald Reagan is probably my favorite President, from all I've learned, read, and written about him, he seems to have such high morals and a pure love for this country. This week I went to Barnes and Noble and saw Ronald Reagan: The Notes. I picked it up and immediately knew it was a book I wanted on my shelf, so today I bought it online. I am excited to read it.

Another book I bought just for the fun of it is Fast Food Nation. I hear it's pretty interesting and think it will be a good plane read for my trip next week. Nashville, Tennessee here I come!

Howth, Ireland

It has been my dream to go to Ireland ever since I was little and when I got there it definitely didn't disappoint. Dublin was the perfect city and the green hills next to the ocean was exactly how I imagined it. The people are lovely as well. Maybe I should transfer to Trinity College?

We have done and seen SO much the past couple of days. My feet may not survive....oh how I wish I had my tevas right now. I'm dying. But it is so beautiful and I'm learning some major Euro history! 3 museums today, Versailles yesterday, and many other French places I have no idea how to spell.

Today we found the cutest macaroon shop. Mark my words, I think they may be the next big thing.

Greetings from Paris!

After a nonstop 9 hour flight to France the Folsom Family has made it.

It is proving to be very difficult since none of us speak an ounce of French.

We first got to our darling apartment:

Then after a {short} 4 hour nap we headed to the eiffel tower.

We waited in the long touristy line and made it to the tippy top. It was quite beautiful!

Every hour the tower glitters too, just like Disneyland but this was for real!

Tomorrow morning I am headed to St. George for...you want to take a guess...it's a hard one...a WEDDING!

I'm sure you're surprised.

This time it's for my Utah State roomie Jules. She honestly is the girl that made my last semester at USU so much fun. We did everything together, until 5 am. No sleep, doors always open, in each other's rooms, trekking in the cold, "rocking" Ltown, going out to eat, there was nothing we didn't do together! We had a blast.

We used to talk about this day...the "wedding day", as if it was so far in the future. But here it is, hers is tomorrow! I'm so excited for her, he is the perfect guy and they are perfect together.

My Mountain Man wedding date will be singing Dierks Bentley to me all the way down. How exciting.

Lake Mead'11

Today I am off to Lake Mead.

Yes, I am one of those sorority girls that is going with my sorority sisters on the Sigma Chi Lake Mead trip.

There is going to be a lot of food, games, and fun for us.

Also, camping. Once again, awesome. I'm not so good at camping.

But, there are houseboats.

(something I don't experience too often since my father is a Mountain Man and we Folsoms are required to camp wherever we go).

We were told there will be no using the bathrooms on the boats this year (too much barf the previous years) {classy} I'm still worried about this situation. Hopefully it will work out.

We are headed down in t-2hours to sleep in St.George then it's off to Mead tomorrow.

My bags are packed, treat bags made for the car ride, and jams ready.

Can I tell you how nice it was this whole weekend to have NOTHING weighing on my mind?

No papers, no tests, nothing to worry about.

It really is summer.

I joke about being fluent, I'm not, but oh how I wish I was.

I love this holiday, well, and every other holiday.

Today I was having a Cinco De Mayo party with some homemade spanish food & a pinata but my guests (the kids to enjoy the pinata) have previous plans.

Yes, it has been a while. Busy busy busy semester, but as of an hour ago, I AM DONE! Done with my Junior Year of college-wowzers, I'm getting old! I am making a vow to blog a little more now.

This semester has taught me how to write, let me tell you...16 pagers on Ronald Reagan, 10 pages on feminism, and just papers left and right! You want to know how to cite a paper properly? I'm your girl. I also found my Professors swearing a lot, is it just me...or is that reason to question their intelligence? Hmmmm

I met Okur at the park, he asked me how I was doing? Awesomeness. I also ate the 2nd hottest pepper in the world (worst pain ever). I went on some fun dates too! Laser tag (his score=380 mine=33) ha! I also learned a new card game I actually like. If you know me, you know I'm not that into games...but this one is fun!

And let me just put a plug in for the royal wedding. She was (and is) STUNNING. I have been racking my brain on how I'm going to get her dress to work for me....if you have any suggestions let me know. Obsessed with the dress...and ring, hair, will....

On Monday I'm headed to Lake Mead. It will be super fun I'm sure. A bunch of Sigma Chi's and greek girls. Yeah, I'm one of them, and proud of it.

This week was our Chi Omega Philanthropy week to raise money for the
Make a Wish Foundation.

We had a dessert night, soccer tournament, and concert!

It was a blast, but I was pretty dead the whole time!

We began a tradition where every month we try a new little restaurant around Salt Lake.

This month we tried Faustina.

It was gorgeous! Super fancy and the entree's were upwards of $15 but I just got a salad and it was yummy! The squash soup also looked quite nice.

I would like to apologize with my lack of posts lately-I am zooper busy!

Anyways, just thought I would let you in on my GREAT day yesterday, nothing significant happened but really it was a wonderful day.

I woke up at 5:30 and went to spinning class. (The wee morning hour is definitely not something I enjoy, but spinning is something I do like and how nice is it to have my workout done for the day?!)
I went to school early and got a great parking spot.
The sun was shining and it was 42 degrees!
I bought a book that said it was $96 but rang up at $40-holla!
I attended all 3 of my classes, made some friends, and learned a lot!
I did a little U of U business and hung out with my friend Adam.
Got to go home early.
Walked a little on the treadmill and read my homework. (I figure this way I don't fall asleep!)
Went to bed at 9:30.

I told you, nothing too significant but I'm working on a positive attitude in this hellish month of January!

I woke up on Wednesday and my thoughts went like this:

"It is FREEZING here, what am I doing? I need to go somewhere warm. Where could I go? St. George. Who do I know in St. George? Jules. Ok, I'm going."

And I did, got in my car and went down for the weekend!

It was so great to be reunited with my old Utah State roommate!

NYE 2010

It began like this:

frosted windows on the way up to Park City...it was SO cold

A stop at the theater where Julian from OTH sat

Brookie wore these sweet leggings...and the sexy Peruvian who was taking our order was obviously flirting. Being the cheap skates we are, we did not tip just for him to make us hot chocolate (which ended up being luke warm disgusting milk) ANYWAYS, after him seeing us not tip he proceeds to mention his "girlfriend" who likes to shop at the Gateway when she comes to America.

Obviously he just flirts to get cash.

We then headed down Main, being the fashionista Brooke is, she wore heels. Love her too much. We met some bartenders/maybe a prostitute? Ran into Aaron Carter and some 16 year olds. Too much fun. We then headed to go dancing and Brookie became real sick. And when I say sick I mean REAL sick. She looked like one of those wasted NYE people on the side of the street (still pretty of course-and not wasted in the slightest!) She got some crazy frostbite/altitude/too much fun sickness. We took one last pic(no smile for Brookie) and headed home.

I have finished my first semester at the U.

(I had the last final given on campus-Friday at 3:30-5:30!)

Let me just say it was my best semester of college yet!

Here are some highlights:

I became a U of U chi omega and met some of my greatest friends
I got 7th row MUSS tickets through the alumni board
I went to New York City
Went to the HOWL-favorite event of the year
Had dance dates at ShinDig and ChiO formal...seemed a little like H.S. but still a blast! You know I love that stuff.
Attended ESPN Gameday at 5 am....who knew I would ever wake up that early-especially for sports?
My darling was totaled-and my life was spared!
I participated in my 1st BYU/U food drive...lot's of frozen fingers, but the U won!
Went to the amazing BYU/Utah football game and rushed the field
Took the MUSS Bus to San Diego for a game?...no for the warmth

So many other things happened too, but this is a quick synopsis. Let's just say I am super happy here and love the U!

I have had the wonderful opportunity to attend the annual Mo-Tab Christmas concerts every year since they began. Every single time I leave blown away. This year was no exception. Once again, amazing. So as part of being on SAB board I get 7th row MUSS tickets. Some would kill for these, I think "sweet!" and that's about it. I would have to say the 4th quarter of the game vs. BYU was pretty much amazing. We were MISERABLE the whole time-it was freezing I couldn't feel any part of my body. But then in the end it was completely worth it-rushing the field and living a college students dream. Once again just made me love the Utes!

I can't tell you how grateful I was today when the storm was rolling in that I didn't have to worry about getting home for Thanksgiving. I know Logan is only 1.5 hours away but sometimes it seemed SO far. It was a whole different life. I can't express how much I love being home. I LOVE coming back home to east millcreek and having my family here ready to listen to me. It's so fun to be living vicariously through my brother in high school, my two sisters who still dance, and my little sister who still believes in all magic.

I also have my best friends next door to me. What more could a girl want? Family and best friend neighbors right at my fingertips. The U has been so great to me. I love Chi Omega and the girls I have met, they are such good, fun, girls and I love being with them. I wake up in the morning happy and ready to go to school, I love walking out of class and feeling like I learned something really important. Class is cancelled tomorrow because of the storm. Amazing.

When I say it, I mean it, the U has

"fit in!"

My brother Daniel & I got in a pretty awful wreck last night.

We were driving on the freeway about to merge onto the one to go to LV/Provo

(like I know what it's called...either I80 or I-215?)

We were almost to the loop, it was about 5:15 and traffic was starting-

we slow down and next thing I know...

crash

I don't remember much just serious pain and not really know what was going on, I couldn't breathe and was gasping, also was drenched with a water bottle that exploded.

(I thought it was blood!)

Daniel was driving and I was in the passenger seat.

I don't think I could have done it without Daniel, he was just next to me saying:

"Megan you're ok, you're fine, breathe, it's ok."

I was totally out of it and just seeing black.

I finally sort of came to and tried to call our parents, finally, Daniel had to do it.

Our airbags deployed and the seat belts saved our lives!

Thank you Marc!!!!

Come to find out it was a 16 year old in the car behind us (a HUGE tahoe)

The force she hit us with caused it to be a 6 car collision, so 4 cars in front of us were rear ended.

It's amazing there isn't a cut on our bodies

(definitely a lot of bruising!)

I was super shaky when the paramedics came over and they tried to take me in an ambulance.

Being the cheap college student I am, I said: "HECK NO, those are way too expensive!"

It's a miracle we are alive with this type of wreck, and the fact that we weren't even hurt is amazing.

We are truly blessed & watched over.

I am not one to enjoy sports.

But, being a lover of "once in a lifetimes" I woke up at 5:45 am on a Saturday to go to ESPN College Gameday.

I am the farthest it gets from being a morning person.

Supposedly, it was a pretty big deal. I didn't even know what it was until two days before.

Shows how much I know about sports.

Despite the loss, I still had a great view.

And, it's not a big deal because this week we will beat Rudy at Notre Dame.

Well last week the admissions crew was nice enough to let me come to Boise'10!

Definitely one of my favorite things about Ambassadors.

This year it was just me & Chase as returners and our recently returned missionary James got to experience Boise.

Last year a couple of ambassadors hooked it up in Boise and have since gotten married-no one can tell me Boise doesn't change lives!

This year it didn't disappoint.

Songfest is a little thing all the greeks participate in during Homecoming week. Each house makes up a little song & dance about the U and the other houses on greek row. We had two amazing girls in charge!

-Met some of my friends from the U for dinner.

-Survived an awful rainstorm!

-Walked a vacant Times Square at 2 am!

-Woke up at the crack of dawn to see Regis & Kelly.

-Walked around Bryant Park & the Library.

-Went to Magnolia Bakery.

-Saw In The Heights front row.

Day 4:

-Went to The Wendy Williams show. Ever heard of it? Neither had we. But our friend Marc hooked us up with VIP so why not? It was the other trip highlight.

-Went to the cutest bakery ever.

-Had lunch at Alice's Teacup, visited Dylan's candy bar, Serendipity, and all that jazz.

-Shopped SOHO.

-Ate dinner in Little Italy.

-Got left at the train station.

-Went to a rooftop party with the boys.

I went to Walmart on 1300 South at 11:00 at night this week. Nothing but wife beaters-pretty scary for my lonesome self! The guy in front of me at the checkstand had 4 bottles of Hydroxycut and 4 cases of protein shakes. Oh, and an "Invisible tattoo" kit. Way neat.

I went to InstaCare on Saturday. Don't know what was wrong with me-serious organ issues up behind my ribs. I couldn't laugh/talk/move without crying in pain. What was the doctor's diagnosis? "Laughing too hard." then sent me on my merry way with some Lortab. I'm glad you went to college for that brain of yours doc.

Slept over at my Nanny family house last night. Best sleep of my life. A-Maze-Ing.

Bob's is engaged. I was on their first date. Am I a good luck charm? I think yes.

My friend Xtina Gilson got called on a mission?! She is going to Colorado Springs! Can't get enough of those rocky mountains. Crazy to think I am the age that I could go too! She is part of the Newport9 crew and we have grown up in the 12th ward together! She is the one on the right in the picture...

The Library has these amazing round bucket chairs. They are the most comfortable thing I have ever sat in. How many times have I fallen asleep in them so far? 2. It's not unusual though considering everyone around me is dead to the world as well.

I was walking on campus the other day and ran into one of the special needs kids that went to Skyline. We chatted for a little bit and then when I was walking away he YELLS: "Megan! Just so you know, I had a crush on you in high school!!!" I could not stop laughing all day.

Daiko-who is actually "Daiki" called me after class on Thursday to apologize for not being there...he called probably 3 times and I just heard silence...finally he said "So sorry..." And I said "Oh, it's ok, the teacher told me you were out of town". He, in his asian accent: "Ahahaha {continual laughing} thank you for your kindness, thank you thank you for your kindness" Ummm ok? Sweet.

Remember last time I donated blood?

It was not a good experience.

Well today I had an "ok" experience.

Peter (cousin) and I went to donate blood together.

I was nervous as always.

I get there, and Andy my blood man was an allstar.

He totally took care of me and was real nice with inserting my needle and talking me through it.

I filled my bag in just about

5 minutes

amazing.

Here is where the story get's good though.

After donating I was feeling on top of the world, Andy asks me how I am and I say just great.

I get up and start to walk and then just topple over to the left.

The Red Cross people rushed to me!

You know like in ER when the people are so concerned about their patients?

That was them about me!

So they sat me down in the chair, give me some ice cold cloths for my head and chest.

(sort of awkward that the water is dripping down my front)

I feel alright again just a little light headed, one of the guy's get's me a cookie and water.

I take one bite of the cookie and feel like I am going to

DIE!

I got so nauseous and couldn't see or hear anything.

Pretty sure I blacked out.

Once again, ER style, they all rush to me with a barf bag, towels, and people to hold my hands.

Supposedly I looked just like a

"Porcelain Beauty"

"Snow White"

After some more ice cold towels, hand holding, nausea, and dizziness, I was good to go!

An old man even saw me after and walked me to the food to make sure I was alright.

Ode to the Red Cross so being so dang nice!

Maybe I should learn from these experiences and not donate blood?

But, I did save 3 lives today.

I am seriously loving you. You know in Ambassadors when people would say they walked on campus and it just "felt right"? As cheesy as it sounds, I feel that way. I walk on campus and it feels right and I belong. I am loving seeing so many people I know and meeting new ones! You do need to work on parking, and getting clocks in your classrooms.

Dear Classes,
I really don't think you're that bad. Besides one at 8:05 that's pretty rough I really enjoy you. I feel like I'm learning from genius's and I love leaving class feeling smarter than I did when I walked in! Here I am on the first day of school!

Dear Chi Omega,
You are so much fun! So social and great. I am loving meeting so many amazing girls and already feel so welcome. They have been so nice and fun. I already feel like they are my "sisters".

You never cease to amaze me. I am loving living in you-seriously couldn't love my location of college more. I am really not minding living at home. It's pretty great actually to have a home to come to-not a nasty apartment.

The teacher began assigning us partners and who does she give me?

As of monday I am a full time enrolled student at the

University of Utah

I love it.

For reals though-it's the bomb.com

Monday I was pretty much lost all day, walked around dripping in sweat and made about 3 campus loops so I didn't have to sit down by myself like a loser.
Yes, walked with a campus map in my hand trying to find my classes.

Tuesdayy I was 15+ minutes late to my first class
(took me 40 min. from my door to the classroom)

Semi made me miss living close to campus...
then I retracted that thought with a "are you kidding me? That walk was THE WORST."

I do have to walk at least a mile a day.
Totally not kidding.
And I sweat profusely the whole time.

The Greek system is amaze.
LOVING being a Chi O.
The girls are so fun and it's such a great way to meet more people!

Student Alumni Board is pretty nice as well.

Being in the SLC=seeing every freaking person I have ever known.
In 2 days I had seen my whole high school.
Not kidding.
Including ex bf's I have seen 4 plus times a day.

It's pretty sweeeeeeeeeeet.

Ute's are cool.
For reals though, totally my people.

Tonight I don't really have much to blog about.

Summer is over, it was my last day on the job today, and tomorrow I have one last ward boating hurrah.

I have nothing much to say except for the fact that Monday brings great change in my life.

I'm not good with change.

So.....

I thought I would tell a story.

Way back, many moons ago, when I was in High School.

(ok, it really was only 2+ years ago....)

I was an SBO and could probably say I was one of Skyline High's biggest fans.

(still am)

Well at the end of the year we put on SBO elections.

As part of the election process the candidates give a speech and then have to answer a fishbowl question.

One of the boy's running for Men's Association President's question was:

"If you could kiss any SBO who would it be?"

His answer:

"Megan Folsom"

Well...Angie Shmo (my mother) was all over this.

If he won, I had to kiss him!

I was in charge of counting votes....

I counted...

and he won...

He had never been kissed.

The SOW Assembly came the next day.

Brandon Bean (current M.A. President) asked if I was down.

I definitely was.

He got up there, announced the winner, and then said...

"Now wait, we have a surprise for you..."

Then I came out, dragged a chair, and stood on top of it.

Summoned him with my finger, then kissed him.

It was his first kiss.

Pretty cool story eh?

I know I said I wasn't going to put any more kissing pictures on the blog until my one day wedding.

So yesterday I am shopping in Foothill Village and run into his parents.

They said he was coming home last night from his mission in England!

Today I was boating with my family up at Jordanelle.

Look to my left and see their boat, recognize his mom, then see him!

It was totally crazy!

We hugged, chatted, caught up, I told him that our great friend Sarahjane got engaged last night.

Actually, both B&B did but Mary and I took a little field trip down to Brooke's stomping grounds.

She works the 11 pm -7 am shift at Channel 2 news.

Killer right?

Yeah, she is hating life.

But sometimes "ya gotta do, what ya gotta do"

She is a producer and does the 5 am show, she says surprisingly lots of people watch it!

Who in their right mind gets up before the sun?!

So the house I live in used to be my Grandparents.

When I was 3 years old twin girls moved next door.

For 7 years I lived in Japan and would stay at my grandparents during the summer, I instantly became bff's with these girls. Then after moving back and a death & remarriage my family lives here now.

I am next door neighbors with them.

We are sisters. Like seriously.

Even with going to different colleges our friendship never seems to fade.

We don't really have to keep tabs on each other because we know we are never leaving.

They are 2 years older than me in school so it was always fun to have someone go before me and experience everything!

I look up to them so much and they make me better everyday.

We are Aaron Carter's biggest fans.

No doubt about it.

Jennie Easton Newbold

Jennie is one of my closest Ambassador friends from USU.

In April of my senior year after the ten of us girls received our scholarships we came up to Logan for a retreat.

That night the girls were talking and Jennie said,

"My goal is to come up here and marry a Utah State basketball player".

Well, we all blew that off since marrying a baller up here is like marrying ROYALTY.

Utah State basketball is Utah State.

Every student knows the players and even talking to one is a big deal.

Well, freshman year Jen had a crush on one-he got married.

This year she crushed on another one- now she is married to him!

paying $20 for my first asian star experience...not worth it

seeing Toy Story 3! It was wonderful and I did get a little teary.

Megan + Animals = not a pretty sight

I have never liked them, ever.

Any of them...fish, dogs, cats, horses....everything.

I think they are a waste of time & money and they are gross and smell.

I do not mind looking at them from a DISTANCE, but if they touch me...gag

I also back away as far as possible.

Even at a distance though, I am not fond of the ZOO.

There are some "cute" dogs, and if my husband insists, I can have a non shedding "cute" little dog, or a strictly outside one.

Maybe a fish here and there for the children that insist on a pet.

Other than that, gross, gross, gross.

I have been asked by my nanny family to take out their dog in the morning and put her back in her cage thing at night while they are gone. Well, tonight I went to put her back in and I actually felt bad. I never feel bad for animals, but tonight my heart was changed! Molly (the dog) was whimpering, whining, crying, and just did not want to be caged up! She kept climbing and scratching on the door wanting to go inside.

I actually felt bad.

People, this is HUGE.

Last week we went to Lake Powell as a family, with Brooke and Gracie (practically family).

Of course Marc makes us camp...house boats are unheard of in my family.

Not only does he think it's more practical, I think he may actually enjoy waking up with your back stuck to whatever you're sleeping on (due to sweat).

While there I read "The Hunger Games", I couldn't get my face out of the book. I highly recommend it.

Marc took us on a death hike, it was great on the way up, but on the way down I wanted to D-I-E.

I was grumpyface, (there is a pic below of me during this time).

Brooke, Amy, and Gracie also found some sweet hats in the water which made for a good time.

My fave Heidi quote of the trip:

Brooke: "Heidi, if you had to describe your perfect date, what would you do?"

Heidi: "Well, first he would bring me chocolate, then we would go to Sconecutter for dinner, then a movie at Century 16, then go to Sconecutter again."

Brooke: "I think your man could DEFINITELY provide that!"

(If you don't know, Sconecutter is a ghetto place on State Street that my little sister loves! Boys, start lining up now, it doesn't take much to please her!)

So my Dad is pretty much

the greatest.

Here are some reasons:
1. He is the "master of the ship", when it comes to boating, he is the man. He is the inventor of the "death spiral of doom" on the tube. It really is death, and I have many battle wounds to prove it.
2. He can fix/do anything. He straight up went to auctions and got all the parts for my little civic and his audi, then built the cars in our garage. Also, he does everything himself. Paints, tiles, builds mantles, designs and builds showers, etc. Talk about a handy man.
3. He knows everything about sports. Yes, I had to call him when the Aggies won the WAC, Utah switched conferences, the Jazz beat whomever...and really if I have any type of sports related question it is always referred to him. (this is quite a usual occurrence)
4. Phone conversations go like this:
Marc: Hello
Me: Hey Dad
Marc: paaaaauuuuusssseee Hey
Me: Ask question
Marc: paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuse answer
definitely not much of a chatter.
5. He dances to "Break your Heart" with my little sister Heidi (they are best friends).
6. He listened to me during many a tear filled phone conversation after I failed many a college exam.
7. He is outdoorsy. I am not. He's way into camping, hiking, fishing, and all that jazz. I prefer being on a boat. He thanks the boys I have dated who caused me to ski more, get my scuba license, hike, and mountain bike.
8. He believes in makeup and looking your best. He hated in high school when I wore sweats, no makeup, and nasty hair everyday to school. He is grateful that now I actually believe in pulling myself together (most of the time!).
9. He drives to and from Ogden every. single. day. He works there and has let our family stay in East Millcreek for all these years. He doesn't complain, and just supports us and knows we love it too much to ever leave.
10. Even though he is quiet about it, I know he has an unwavering testimony in the Gospel. I am so grateful to have a man that truly honors his priesthood and exemplifies it in serving others, loving my mom, and fulfilling all callings he receives. He also encourages me to do my best in the callings I receive and is always behind me with words of wisdom.

And lastly,

He believes & is proud of me. He was proud when I made SBO, got my ambassador scholarship, made student alumni board, and really just is behind me as I try to accomplish life.

I am friends with two of the funniest people that have ever walked the earth.

This week we decided to hit up Liberty Park (which is not ghetto AT ALL)

to do a little night bike ride.

We had 2 mountain bikes, 1 road bike, and Chase's 1940's foldable bike.

It was tight.

So my cousin Bryant is pretty much the most amazing person you will ever meet.

He is hilarious, driven, caring, smart, and can can do anything he puts his mind to.

This past year he decided he wanted to do a fundraiser for homeless kids. He contacted a charity Stand Up For Kids and organized Relay Missouri. He got in touch with cross country teams from his home state of Missouri and got kids to run from Kansas City to St. Louis. He has raised thousands of dollars, gotten many company sponsors and even interviewed by the newspaper!

The kick off party was tonight and it ends on Saturday.

I am so proud of him!

He seriously is so incredible and can do anything he puts his mind to. I am going to miss him so much when he leaves on his mission in August, but I'll save that for another post. He is probably the cousin I am closest to.

She came straight to my room and said this:

H: Megan, I don't think you should feel bad about being single.

H: Well my camp counselor was 24 and she has never even had a boyfriend!

M: Oh, well that's too bad.

H: Ya, so at least you have had one of those.

About 4 years ago I got roped {privileged} into something.

TREK

I have always been a hater on it, my philosophy is:

The pioneers suffered through it so I would not have to...they would not want me to re live the pain!

Despite my argument, I went anyway.

It was hard, but needless to say I really did gain a much greater appreciation for the pioneers.

(Even though I really don't think they sang hymns as they were literally dying up a hill...at least I wanted the singing to stop!)

Waking up to a wet sleeping bag was also a joy.

And eating nasty stew & bread & water.

And walking through mud.

And in the womens pull being the only one pushing as all the girls chatted and sang.

Anyways...

On Wednesday we had a Folsom Family date to the REAL game.

They are pretty sweet. Like soccer is pretty cool don't ya think?

My siblings are way into it....I lived in Japan when I was little and never played sports, and let's be honest, I am sports retarded. I didn't have much idea of what was going on, but I do understand when the ball goes in it means GOAL! REAL won and it was sweet. Daniel got a field pass from his team and was on the field the whole time. Then it was the David Cook concert, not the biggest fan, but he was dece ({dees} as in decent). I am now a REAL fan, I mean they are the MLS champs!

That's sweet!

Now, I have to get back to the World Cup, that's all my family has been doing the past 2 days!

I do live in Salt Lake, so it can't be that bad right?

It was.

It began on Foothill Blvd. driving from the U, well after 1 lane traffic for a while the light was out on 1300 east, that took FOREVER to get through. Then on to downtown (my ultimate goal was to get on I-15 via state street). Well, there was the gay rights festival going on, so a bunch of people! Then after turning on State Street I was stuck behind the parade....took forever. After finally getting on the road, the exit onto I-15 was closed. So I had to drive all through North Salt Lake (hitting every red light) and get on there. Then there was traffic all the way up to my destination: Willard Bay.

I had been looking forward to go boating all day, week, year.

I had 30 minutes on the boat, then got back into my car to head home.

Ridiculous right?

Then it was off to my darling friend Natalie's wedding:

It was a beautiful wedding. If I could describe it in one word:

CLASSY

Loved everything about it.
